Mopar Meeting Datteln change of date !

The Mopar Meeting in Datteln won’t be at the first weekend of August as usual. It will be held on the last weekend of July, the 28./29th July.

We had to change it because otherwise we couln’t do Drag race on the airport.

Please notice the 28./29th of July for the Mopar Meeting Datteln

Yep, life's a bitch. Ik ben juist weer blij dat het is uitgesteld, want anders zou het samenvallen met de heenreis naar een andere moparmeet.

Zeker 1 van de mooiste Mopar meetings van europa!

Ik ben van de partij met de W200 + Cuda.

En een beetje handige vent planned zijn vakantie tussen de meetings door.
Ik ga 7-8 juli met W200 en Cuda op de trailer naar de Dragrace st.Truiden, daarna thuis de trailer afkoppelen en met de Dodge richting Noorwegen waar we 2,5 week rondtrekken.
Daarna als de sodemieter langs huis om de trailer met Cuda weer aan te koppelen en weer richting Datteln voor de Moparmeet.
Kwestie van strakke planning.

yes there is a new location.
The address is Redder Str. 450 in Datteln.
The housenumber is important as it is a very long road and it is the end of the street.

Hi,

this location is correct.
It is in a "Naturschutzgebiet". Don't know the english word would be something like "nature zone"
It is deep in the forrest but they had a coalmine there (that is the building). It is closed. The meeting will be on the parking lot with the trees, we have space for 300 cars. Visitors will have to park on the helicopter area.

Hi,

we have access to the old parking lot of the employees. Unfortunatly we can't use the coalmine itself. It is closed with a gate and we don't get access to it as they have stored stuff in the buildings etc.

Carsten, why the hell is the housenumber important when it's at the end of the road anyway?

Hi Herman,

because this damin road is very long (could be 12 Kilometers if I remember correctly). If you just put the name of the road in a web-routeplaner it will bring you to this road but to the beginning inside center of Datteln. So everyone would be looking for a location in the city. While it is at the end of the world. Or at least at the northest point of Datteln.

Don't get confused if you drive on this road while you are coming. There will be already signs saying "end of Datteln" at one point but you have to continue driving for quite a while. It is deep in the country part of Datteln.

So if you need something to buy you forgot better buy it on the way to the meeting ground.
