I want to use this (in my opinion cool) Grant steering wheel to steer my hooptie, and it doesn't fit on the NRG quick release steering wheel adapter which in it's turn doesn't fit on the factory 1968 steering column.

Luckily my buddy Chris doesn't give up easily... a little cutting, grinding, glueing... and in the end it will work together and the horn will work.

Nah, as you can see in the middle picture above... he took the horn contact ring out of an old steering wheel and glued it onto the cut down NRG hub, so I will have a functioning horn. :)

Gaaf zeg Lenn!! Lijkt wel zacht materiaal dat stuur? Ik heb zo'n zelfde soort stuur, maar dan met een houten buitenrand:

Yours is also a Grant. My steering wheel ring is some kind of hard black rubber.

Nice job! Is Chris using a backing gas for clean inner welds?

No, the whole system is 3", so I don't think that a little bit of weld on the inside of the pipe will effect anything, and nobody can see it.

Because I have a 4 link rear suspension, it's really hard to fit two 3 inch pipes out the rear. That's why we chose to go with side exits.

4 link or not Len, side exits are the way to go anyway in my opinion. So excellent choice amigo. :good:

If I had the chance, and had the law on my side, I'd go for mad max zoomies!

Shifter boot installed and plate fabricated. The plate looks white in the picture, but it's brushed aluminum.

Thanks, I speak, read and write Dutch. I don't own a computer. I do everything on my phone, and my phone doesn't know Dutch so it's trying to change/correct every word into English. Therefore I just type in English.
