Mopar special in Bitburg (germany) 23./24 June

Post by plumcrazy »

Hi,

on that weekend there is a run what you brung in Bitburg. It is not to far away from NL and maybe a chance to test and tune.

We are making a small, non-official Mopar Meeting there on the 23./24 June. So a bunch of german Mopar guys will be there. You are more than welcome. If you want more information about the official event, distances etc check out:

So, it depence on the weather I guess.

Carsten, do you know if we can sign up for the race at the gate or is it pre-register only?

Ouwe foto trouwens.... :good:

Hi Kurt,

there is no pre registry.
You come with your car, they do the security check and then you can smoke your tires.

There are some requirements (helmet, security etc). It is all on their homepage not only in german they have it in english, too (just click on the american flag).

I am not sure but I think they charge EUR 30,-- for racing the whole weekend so there is not much you can do wrong. It comes with time slips etc.

Sounds good.
Unfortunatly, as 'always' lately, I don't have anything to run at the dragstrip at the moment.

Hi Robert,

I don't think they prepare the track. It has quite some rubber in the starting area but it is more for streetcars I guess.
So it is not the place where to test a super gas car.

I can't tell you too much about it as I have been there only once two years ago.

The upcoming event is no official Mopar event, just some guys from the german Mopar-forum decided to do it there on the following weekend. And I knew that you don't have Drachten anymore so I thought that is maybe a chance for a test&tune

I've got a Weather-Page on my DutchMuscleCar-forum which I always check before planning for a meeting...
-> http://www.dutchmusclecars.com/dmcforum/weather.php

The image-sequence for every day starts at 00:00 midnight and will show 24 images of the expected cloud and rain-areas. Rain is shown by green specs in the darkgrey areas.
As the predictions are usually pretty accurate on these images, it doesn't look all to promising that's for sure.

Hi Herman,

I usually don't care about rain. I also go if the weather is bad. My cars dry up again.

But this time I am not going, too. I wanted to race my Hemirunner but if you can't do it it is not worth going there as it is not an official car meeting.

The Forum plan already a new event somewhere in september (22./23).
