Re: 1968 Charger restomod

We put the grill in today. It still needs a bit of tweaking, but it fits pretty good considering that the hood and fenders are fiberglass.

Re: 1968 Charger restomod

Because a hellcat engine will cost at least 16k. I bought the brand new Kenne Bell for 3k. Re: 1968 Charger restomod

I don't know the answer to either of those questions yet. Either my buddy Chris is going to build a 5.7 into a forged 6.1 stroker, or I'm going to buy a complete forged long block from Modern Muscle motors. As for which controller and wiring harnesses will be used... that will be up to Chris to deci...

Re: 1968 Charger restomod

Boring video, but I'm happy that my radio is finally done after 6 months. This guy is very busy and has a long waiting list for converting classic radios. My factory 1968 radio has now am/fm with blue tooth, usb, 4 X 45 watts, auxiliary input and sub woofer/amplifier output. https://youtu.be/T9CwLQc...

Re: 1968 Charger restomod

The Borgeson conversion box has a 14:1 quick ratio, firm modern power steering feel, drastically increased header clearance and a 10 pounds weight savings over a factory power box. My car is not on the road yet, so I don't have any experience with it. But many people that have switched from an upgra...

Re: 1968 Charger restomod

Komt best goed zo te zien. :yeah: Die Borgeson zal ik eerdaags ook eens aanschaffen. Helaas hier niet te verkrijgen, maar wel een nuttige aanschaf. Over the years I've heard and read nothing but positive things about the Borgeson box. People that had bought an original upgraded steering box from Fi...

Re: Oh no...

Fortunately (for me) it's not my car.

The Charger is insured by Hagerty insurance so it will be repaired and Hagerty will pay the repair bill and try to get the money back from the insurance company of the guy that caused the accident.
